StimmGold Vokalensemble

Since its founding in 2014, the vocal ensemble StimmGold has rapidly attained a central position in the German vocal scene. The six classically trained singers making up the group bring with them many years of choral and ensemble experience and are especially keen in their desire to tackle challenging repertoire. The group focuses above all on vocal music from the German Romantic period as well as contemporary a cappella literature. They have given world premieres and performed modern works especially written and arranged for them, which showcase their considerable expressive strength and harmonic clarity in a most convincing manner.
The group’s own composition competition, first held in 2018, is closely connected with their home city of Regensburg and its yearly cultural focus. To date, it has generated close to 450 new vocal works. In November 2019, their first CD, “Golden Moments for Christmas”, was released by Spektral Records. A second release on Spektral followed in 2021 and included six-part works by Hans Leo Hassler, Heinrich Schütz, a commission by Enjott Schneider (Colours of the bells), as well as prize-winning works from the previous competition year. Their third CD, “Through the Forest”, has been recorded in 2023 in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Upper Palatinate. It consists of works dedicated to Max Reger. In 2023, StimmGold received a prize from the German Orchestral Foundation for this recording.StimmGold Vokalensemble ein Stipendium der Deutschen Orchester-Stiftung, vier OPUS KLASSIK-Nominierungen in den Kategorien: »Ensemble des Jahres«, »Choreinspielung des Jahres«, »Klassik ohne Grenzen« und »Neue Klassik« sowie eine Nominierung für den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik im Bereich »Chor & Vokalensemble«. 2024 wurde StimmGold mit dem zweiten Preis des renommierten amerikanischen Wettbewerbs CARAs (Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards) ausgezeichnet.
